Our Newsletter is published ten times a year. It contains research tips, society news and announcements of upcoming events of interest to members. The Newsletter subscription is a benefit of membership. The current issue and prior issues, for several years back, are available in the Members Area of this website. Members may also opt for a printed mailed copy.
Our journal Santa Clara County Connections focuses on Santa Clara County records, history, book reviews, queries (free to members), and items of interest to those doing local research such as Member Stories and Veteran’s Human Interest Stories.
Prior to 2016, Connections was published as two issues per year.
The issue "Spring 2016; Vol. 53, No. 1; Whole Nbr. 147" was distributed June 2016.
The issue "Fall 2016; Vol. 53, No. 2; Whole Nbr. 148" was distributed August 2017.
Commencing in 2018, with Volume 54, publication will be once per year.
Starting in 2018 online access to Connections became a benefit of membership. The current issue and all back issues are available to SCCHGS members at the Connections Online Issues page in the Members Area.
Volunteers have created indexes for Connections. The first set of indexes, for volumes 1 - 39 (1964 - 2002), was created in 2004. It is available online at the Connections Indexes page, and is also available for sale on CD &mdash see below. The second set of indexes, for volumes 40 - 52 (2003 - 2015), was created in 2017. It is also available online at the Connections Indexes page.
The Santa Clara County Historical & Genealogical Society has released a CD containing a full-name index, subject index, and list of articles published in the Santa Clara County Connections from 1964 to 2002.
The Santa Clara County Connections is a publication of the Santa Clara County Historical & Genealogical Society and focuses on Santa Clara County records, history, book reviews, queries, and items of interest to those doing research in Santa Clara County. There are approximately 92,000 names on the CD.
