Work alone or in pairs to digitize Early Settler files using the flatbed scanner located outside the Heritage Pavilion. Work can be done anytime the library is open. Training will be provided. Two to three hours per month will make a significant contribution to this project. Contact Nancy Moffett at .
Connections Mailing Team
Two or three volunteers are needed to arrange the printing and mailing of two issues of Connections each year - once in the spring and once in the fall.
We need a group of volunteers to maintain software and updates on three computers. Committee members would also set up any new computers, recommend software upgrades, and recommend a back-up plan. An immediate need is to look into a problem with the scanning feature of the printer.
Indexers of early BMD Records
Our society is indexing the early Santa Clara County birth, death, and marriage records from microfilm in the library. Several work together on Saturday mornings and some work individually at other times of the week.
Member Spotlight Columnist
The Spot-light column occasionally features a member in the newsletter. As the columnist, you may interview the subject in person, by telephone, or by e-mail and then write a half- to full-page article on his or her life story, interests, and genealogical research areas.
