Every year the world loses priceless historical records. Natural disasters, political unrest, riots, wars, and even malicious acts, damage historical and genealogical records. But one dedicated group of individuals is doing something about it. David Ouimette manages the Global Content Strategy team at FamilySearch.org. Operating up to 330 cameras around the world, they capture as many as 40 million digital images of historical records annually.
In his inspiring presentation, David will share with us details about his travels to meet various leaders and vital record keepers and the many marvelous ways family history is preserved, shared, and celebrated in countries and cultures around the world.
David Ouimette, CG, CGL, BCG trustee, and author, manages Asia‐Pacific record priorities, including oral genealogy, at FamilySearch; specializes in tracing immigrant origins; and has researched in over sixty countries.
