made three days before the fire which broke out in Mr. Rainey's livery stable
Nov. 4, 1906 which spread quickly to the old building and the familiar
landmark is no more. The view was made to accompany a sketch written of the
building occupancy by whom etc. tobe read before the Santa Clara County
Historical Society which met at San Jose Normal Assembly Hall November 1906.
Also a second view three or four days after the fire showing the strange and
smouldering ruins |
